I was getting ready to build the building for Wolf Home Products at my Windsor St crossing and realized that I had made a big mistake. So I fixed it.
Atlas’s code 55 track line is great, except when it isn’t. The various internal wiring in the switches that transmits power to the closure rails sometimes fails, leaving ugly unpowered sections right where you don’t want them. A line of conductive paint solves this problem quickly and easily.

I want to “torture test” my York construction, and it’s tough to do that without the ability to JFRTM. Or at least that’s what I tell myself. In order to do that, I need some temporary return loops on either end.
Last night I finished removing the push pins from the final yard track in my Windsor St yard. That meant it was finally time to run some trains in it.
Secondary tracks do not share the well maintained look of “out of the box” flex track. It’s relatively easy, if a bit laborious, to replicate this look.
Guess it’s time for another update with some recent pics on the progress of the New NCR layout.
