1913 is an almost stock Atlas B23-7. Conrail’s beaten 23s mostly worked in New York and New England, however, they did occasionally venture south, and so I wanted a model of one.

This one is an Atlas model with some heavy weathering applied. This included heavy black washes on the grill areas, this really made the fine grillwork stand out. I want to go back and add a cab signal box and radio antenna to really finish the model.

This photo was taken on DARN NTRAK’s Trackville module set, with 1913 working one of the industries along with GP30 #2235.

Because of the heavy weathering I had applied to 1913, I’ve traded it off to a friend for a “clean” B23-7 so I could make a more lightly weathered version that would be appropriate for the mid 1980s.
