Many years ago I owned a Volvo 240DL wagon. It was a great car. Eventually, the expected costs of running it caught up with it, and I ended up trading it in for a newer one. When I discovered a model of the car on Shapeways, I had to have one.
The Shapeways model is of a slightly older vintage Volvo (mine was a 1990), but was close enough for me.
I soaked mine in Bestine to remove the wax residue that Shapeways parts come with, and spent a bunch of time painting it to match my old car: battleship gray with a black and blue interior.
I even included the missing piece of trim on the passenger side front door.
Here’s the old girl.
