It’s December, which means it’s time to go document what the Northern Central actually looks like this time of year! This installment includes the photos I took at Parkton MD.
Parkton is where my New NCR layout starts. It is where, in my world, helpers would be tied on for the climb to York. It would also be the northern extent of MARC commuter service from Baltimore, and as a result there is a small layover yard for train sets waiting to head back to Baltimore. Historically Parkton had a wye for turning those commuter trains, and I plan on retaining it as the only actual functional wye on the layout.
