I’m making great progress on the York section of the Windsor St Yard layout. But some of the progress is on decidedly unglamorous things.

Last night I spent a bunch of time wiring up terminal blocks. I’m going to be using these to tie the feeders for each wiring block together, and then tie those into the main DCC power bus.

 

 

And here’s one actually installed, now just waiting for a quick tap off to the bus itself.

And speaking of annoying tasks… in order to make sidings look like sidings, I’ve been working on distressing some flex track. Each siding is getting its own unique character, determined by cutting between EACH tie in the tie strip, pulling a few out, and redistributing the rest. It’s tedious and tiring but worth it for the layout where I refuse to half ass anything.
