We’re planning on moving soon and so The Northern Central will soon be coming down but there’s one last chance to come check it out before it’s gone: an open house and casual ops session on June 2nd.

The open house will be Saturday June 2nd from 12 noon until 4PM at Terri and my house at 1615 Glen Keith Blvd, Towson MD, 21286.

There are a few important things to know:

We have two dogs. They like to bark, but they also like people. They also shed, so some Claritin will be your friend if you’re allergic. They will also be your friend 5 minutes after you walk in the door.

The layout uses a Digitrax DCC system with Duplex Radio (and usually JMRI+WiThrottle). Feel free to bring things to run a lap or two with.

You might want to read up on the layout so you’re familiar with it. I’ve put together some documentation for just that purpose here.

I know everyone’s busy, so feel free to stop by for only a little bit.

There is usually plenty of street parking, but you might want to brush up on your parallel parking skills.

Access to the layout is through the house and down some stairs.

I live about 15 minutes from the legendary MB Klein. It might be worth a stop before or after you come by.
